Regional SemiFinalists - Academy 03 Boys

The KCSG Academy 03 boys completed a very successful Winter and Spring season.  The Academy 03 Boys team has earned a spot in the U17 National Tier of the USYS National League for this upcoming Winter and Spring.

The National Tier consists of the best 32 teams in the country that compete over the Winter and Spring with a chance to auto-qualify for the US Youth National Championships.

The boys earned the spot by winning the Championship of the Midwest Conference of the National League -- Premier 1 Division this past Spring.  They went 6-1 and won their last 5 games to earn the title.

The Academy 03 boys had a tremendous run through Winter of 2018 and Spring of 2019.  Accomplishments include:  Finalists in the Emerald Cup in March, Champions of the SLSG College Showcase in April, Midwest Conference League Champions, Semi-Finalists in State Cup, and won their bracket at the USYS Regional Championship in Saginaw, MI going 3-0 and advanced to the Semi-Finals where they lost a hard fought and well played 1-0 game.

Several players were recognized throughout the Spring but most notably... Noah Higbie and Quinten Blair were selected as Top 11 in the Midwest Conference of the National League – which is picked by the other coaches within the division.  Most of this roster is now being heavily recruited by great college programs throughout the U.S.

The boys will travel to Tampa, FL in mid-December to kick off the National Tier games, playing 4 games in 5 days.

Congratulations to all the boys and their coach Kris Plumhoff on their dedication and success this Spring. KC Scott Gallagher is proud of you and all you accomplished.  We can’t wait for next season to continue to follow your journey at the highest level!
